Senate Overturning FCC's Net Neutrality Repeal..
Finally some great news out of the Senate.
The final vote was 52-47. As expected, Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, joined Democrats in voting to overturn the FCC's controversial decision. But two other Republicans — Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana and Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska — also voted in favor of the resolution of disapproval.
"Today is a monumental day," said Sen. Edward Markey, D-Mass., during debate over the resolution. "Today we show the American people who sides with them, and who sides with the powerful special interests and corporate donors who are thriving under this administration."
I am excited to see what will come about. Glad to see that (R) joins.
Well its nice to see them make a choice that clearly was in the interest of protecting the flow of information and makes the difference between freedom and tyranny in our society. Im really glad they did the right thing although I had a feeling that if net neutrality were to lose legal protection that the market would annihilate those trying to exercise such control over internet access. T mobile stood clearly for upholding net neutrality with or without government regulation and any company that does would have customers flocking to them and leave those like Comcast to die off much faster then they already are
