Tokyo community meet up – December 11th

NEO will be holding a community meet up in Tokyo on Monday, December the 11th from 6:30pm – 9:30pm. Joining NEO will be TheKey, DeepBrain, Red Pulse, Qlink and PeerAtlas. NEO founder Da Hongfei and Secretary General Tony Tao will also give presentations.

Presentations will in both English and Japanese, and the event is co-hosted by Blockchain Labo. Speaker details can be found below.

Da Hongfei

CEO of Onchain, founder of NEO, key opinion leader of the Chinese blockchain industry, serial entrepreneur, a Bachelor of Arts graduate capable of coding Virus with Assembly language. Da Hongfei is blockchain advisor to a handful of banks, brokers, and clearing houses. He has keen insights on the underpinning technologies, various application scenarios, and the industry structure. Da Hongfei came across Bitcoin in 2011, and has worked fulltime in the industry since 2013. In 2014, he founded NEO, a blockchain to register, transfer, and exchange digital assets, and led the startup to become the benchmark in the Chinese blockchain community.

Tony Tao

Tony Tao is Secretary General of NEO, a member of Ali Microfinance Forum Expertise Group and Tencent Tengyun Think Tank Group and co-writer of ‘Blockchain: Blueprint for a New Economy’ and ‘Blockchain Technology–From Digital Currency to Credit Society’. Tony specializes in the economic interpretations of Bitcoin and blockchains. In terms of investments, he has participated in multiple digital asset ICOs such as Ethereum, Factom, Antshares (NEO), Lisk, Elastic and so on. Combining his investment experiences and academic research, he is currently responsible for the strategy plans of NEO.

Jonathan Ha, CEO of Red Pulse

Jonathan Ha is the founder and CEO of Red Pulse, a China market intelligence platform combining traditional research techniques with advanced technology to solve a problem facing all of us today: Information overload. Mr. Ha has a prior background in management consulting, having advised major financial institutions on operations and corporate strategy. Jonathan studied computer engineering and economics at the University of Pennsylvania, and subsequently received an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. Mr. Ha is a CFA charterholder.

Prof. Dr. Yidong King, Key contributor to Blockchain-Based Dynamic Multi-Dimension Identification

Dr King spent 12 years working as United Nations healthcare officer and has 20 years’ experience in Chinese social insurance, participating in all China’s social insurance reforms as a senior expert. Being a pioneer of medical informatics in the China Healthcare industry, Dr King has published substantive papers and received scientific research achievement awards. Dr King is also the founder of Medical Term Standardization with several patents and other intellectual properties.

Yong He, CEO of DeepBrain Chain

Yong He is an artificial intelligence expert, and is known for his innovation character within Shanghai computer industry. Yong He has been researching bitcoin and blockchain technology since 2014 and is proficient in product design and machine learning algorithms. He is the inventor of the intelligent semantic error correction engine for game translation. He was one of the first batch of entrepreneurs in the field of artificial intelligence in China and has presided over the research and development of the first Chinese voice assistant, Smart 360, whose registered users exceed 17 million. Yong He also over oversaw the development of the world’s first artificial intelligence sound box Small Zhi (half a year earlier than Amazon Echo), and the development of the country’s first cloud intelligence system— DeepBrain. He led the DeepBrain Chain team to win the innovation and creativity award in 2017 ZhongGuanCun Second Blockchain Competition.

Susan Zhou, Co-founder & COO of Qlink

Susan Zhou, is a former Partner in Rhodium Capital and has over 10 years experience in the investment banking and corporate finance industry. Susan was one of Qlink’s earliest members and is in charge of Qlink’s overall business operations. Susan graduated from the University of Hong Kong with an MBA degree.

Bradley Mattson M.D. Founder of PeerAtlas

Bradley Mattson, M.D. is a Board-certified radiologist and final year resident at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. He is a 2013 graduate of the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Inspired by Wikipedia, he and co-founder Colin Closser, M.D. began designing and coding PeerAtlas in 2011 with the goal of creating a completely free online medical resource for high-quality, peer-reviewed information. PeerAtlas believes that paywalls are unnecessary, and is challenging existing online medical resources which charge high subscription fees.
