Well, it disappeared along with everything in the house in 2015, including the washer, dryer, stove, thermostat, ceiling fans and some of the bathroom cabinets. I couldn't have wished for a better moving crew and I'm lucky they didn't take the House too.
Are we talking burgulars?!? For a sec it sounded like fire. How traumatic. (How thorough.) (Even Chaucer... It boggles the mind. ...Thermostat? Your list is crazy!)
If it happened to me I think I'd give up and live on a futon with one saucepan and a fork. Or move to Nepal to become a nun. Which is illegal, by the way, (they don't hand out visas for that) so pretty rad.
Renters! Real estate agent and a neighbour sent me the pictures; I never went back, there was nothing to retrieve and I wasn't going to clean up the garbage they left.
And waddya know, here was me planning to pack up and rent out! Seriously, off to somewhere the heating doesn't keep on packing it in, because you don't need it, earning your (cheaper) keep (on some - proverbial - beach) from the rent. But you've just reminded me of the "hassle"(putting it mildly).....So it will be selling or staying put, now. Your life experience is having an impact on my decisions already.
You could use a management company to rent it out for you, but that is not a 100% guarantee, though your odds will be better. I have bad experience using either approach, but that is not to say the same will happen to you.
No. True. But it's likely. As a frequent renter, already, I know this to be the case. I suppose this is the only solution:

Yeah, the ultimate off road, all terrain, camping set up. So what cold climes do you seek to escape, and where would you like to escape to? The Gypsies combined the all terrain vehicle (horse) with a house on wheels (wagon) that saved on set up time in case they had to move frequently and a passenger could sleep while on the move. These days they pull their Wagons, as well as the Horse, with a Mercedes, lol.
