Reminds me far too much of the ex from my college

Reminds me far too much of the ex from my college years. He was emotionally abusive at the time and showed signs of becoming physically abusive. He would buy me flowers if we got into a fight or if a friend from out of town was visiting and he wanted to make a good impression. I can't stand flowers now because of the association. So glad we went our separate ways.
