Needpedia.com - Almost ready to go - and some brutal truths

In order to build the wiki for all solutions to all problems on Earth we need a development strategy. When I was first inspired to build this I thought other people would see the idea sounded worth trying and that they'd help me. I mean, we're literally talking about the equivalent of a Wikipedia, but, for things you can do when you experience problems. -With feedback from people who've tried things, and input from experts. This is literally the most useful thing I can possibly imagine creating.

   But no one gave a damn. Not even the organizations that claimed to care about this stuff. I was baffled. This lasted years, eventually I wondered: 'is this actually hell?' A world full of people who say they mean well, but even when directly told UNICEF estimates tens of thousands of kids under 5 die from poverty, DAILY, and that we could be spreading the world's best technology and ideas like wildfire, without Google deciding what we get to see, they just say 'huh, good luck'. -Good luck? Why aren't they compelled to help? They get outraged seeing someone kick a dog, if there's even a 1% chance this wiki for all solutions thing could save children's lives, it would be a far bigger deal than a kicked dog. (and I say that as a dog lover). I contacted the Free Software Society, and Open Source organizations... the Mozilla grant, the New Shapes Grant, there was so many pleas, I wrote for, YEARS. A few friends helped, one donated money, and seeing anyone care enough to help do anything at all itself did a lot to help me keep going. 

   It took me years to say 'fine, all most people've been seeing is some kinda crazy person, I'm gonna need to invest in some animations and stuff. I started working 40-60 hours a week, saved up thousands. -to protect the savings I swore off relationships, and only see friends sparingly. I sometimes lose faith but remember how big a 10 thousand seat stadium is, and imagine two of them filled with today's litany of children that business as usual killed, <i> painfully </i>. I remember the profound anxiety and hopelessness of my friends living under this system, and the way the warping of society done by hierarchy ultimately destroyed my own family. The problem's roots are as deep as the history of empire itself. And by now the roots are strong enough to annihilate entire branches from the tree of life. Including our own.

   We face the ultimate foe, corruption. The very things we are supposed to use to fix the situation have all been disabled by the corrupted, like a societal HIV.

   What we need, is a way for the people, and the experts, to come together, and talk about all our options. 

Pre-selected ballots are dead ends, controlled opposition is how we got here. To get out, we need to be able to discuss all the options, and see them all side by side.

   Building this would take hardly anything too, a single wealthy person could cough up the 5-10 K needed to program this in a heartbeat. 

   But we'd need to make that a one time thing, the more we monetize the network for the sake of paying back investors, the more we jeopardize making the network just as corrupt as the existing world order. Everyone needs to have equal voting power, and we need to be very cautious of what admins are able to effectively censor out. Their expectations and limits need to be extremely well defined, AND, decided by the whole community. The devil's in the details, and when it comes to information technology, there's a LOT of details. -And someone can always add more. We've really got to stay on our toes. 

   Especially considering, when you really think about it, if we're going to make meaningful changes, that means the very real military industrial complex, is going to be directly impacted, by the billions. These people share rumors of potential 'instability' amongst their shareholders with excitement, to them peace is nothing but bad news. -Merely another problem someone needs to deal with. It is hard to understate, how expensive the emergence of an actual democracy would be for them, and how much all of them would feel the need to ban together against it.

   Nevermind the fact they'll still have more money than they'll ever need, and will in fact be free-er, and more able to walk about world without fear because the entire thing, is being made into a veritable paradise. There's no longer people who would literally kill to, literally kidnap and ransom members of their family. I'm dead serious, that's the world they live in, even if some are too high on their bullshit to realize it. I imagine it's also really fucked up to know everyone around you wants to manipulate you for their own purposes.

   If we all have enough to live well, then we would all have much less to fear. Money is only a means to an end, so I can only hope that the one's who'd most consider themselves my enemy, can eventually realize this is actually an opportunity. They would have less money, but there would be so much more of everything else good that it'll be well worth it. 

   But that's down the road. If you're reading this we could really use your help. In a week or two, the animations that we've paid for will be ready, and we're going to crowdfund. We'll need help getting the word out, anything you can do to spread the word or pitch in would be immensely appreciated. -And could save lives; after all, that's literally our goal.
