Cowl neck is a type of neckline used in some dress or blouse. It is named after how it looks, like a cowl neck.
The Illustration of how to make a cowl neck dress/top is shown below.
For this particular illustration, the neck depth which is 7" will show cleavage. So, the neck depth can be less or more of what is used in the illustration above depending on how deep one wants it.
All other measurements, the bust, waist, hip e.t.c remain the same.

Hi @wisdoncouture! Thanks for sharing your pattern with us. I happen to like cowl neck tops, but only if they are made with very lightweight materials. Do you put a weight in the front part of the cowl? I noticed that a couple of mine have weights to keep the fabric flat on the font. Happy #NeedleworkMonday to you, my dear!
No weight. Some fabrics do have weight. While some cowl neck fabric design are doubled for the front, From shoulder line to underbust.
I like cowl necklines, they always look very stylish. I could adapt this pattern for work tops for special occasions. I usually like a scoop neck, but sometimes I need something a bit more dressy. Thank you.
