RE: Adventure in socks

wow knitting..... I so like the look and drape of knitted items, but I started with crochet and since then knitting seems so slow and so complicated to me. But I am learning (slooooowly) and similar to you I am a sweater maker (perhaps you are now lost to the socks :-D) I now want to repreat a simple top-down raglan cardi I already tried, but I also hate äähhh dont like to work with dpn, but sadly the very short circular needles I bought instead don't behave as I hoped. Do you have a recommendation how to learn to work with this short circulars? Or is there a possibility to work the sleeves flat although it is a top-down construction? Knitting is so confusing (for me)

But most important: Congratulations for your pattern release!!! It is beautiful.

Thank you for your kind words. I am totally sure I won't be lost to socks😂 I've way to many beautuful sweaters on my ravelry queue. I've got small hands so I don't mind the small circular needles so much and they definitely better than dpns. With these socks I find that two longer circular needles work good for me and I will try that for my next sleeves aswell. It is totally possible to work the sleeves flat on a top down sweater. I'd cast on 2 more stitches under the arm than the pattern asks for and than work flat. For me it's just that I'm not a fan if seaming either😉

Yes sewing is sh***, but bettern than dpns... :-D As I am not a experienced knitter: do you knit the sleeves on a top down garnment in the life stitches of the shoulder and just let the side seem open? or do you knit the sleeves seperately and cast of the shoulder stitches before knitting the body?
