Needlework Monday: Cardi Update + Knitting Wall
So, ummm... I have a lot of knitting stuff.. a lot. Too much? Idk, maybe.
My mom, who taught me how to knit in the first place, had a good collection of straight and circular needles which I added to, so now we have this.
I wrapped some of the leftover bits of yarn from different projects around clothes pins. I usually store full skeins of yarn on this shelf-thingy that I found at a thrift store (btw that thrift store is amazing, they’ve even had swords for sale there.. kinda want a sword..).
These are some swatches from different projects I’ve done, I love how they look hanging up. I also hang up circular needles on the wall using brass pins with the needle size written on them.
Anddddddd here’s the cardigan, almost got the second sleeve done! That plus one more pocket to go and then I can start weaving in a crap-ton of loose ends 🤗.

That's a fun way to store your needles! I think I have a few needles stuck in a vase with some fake flowers around the house... just because it was convenient. I don't think I ever went back for them after I stuck them in, wonder if my husband thinks they're some kind of weird decoration and not just there because I forgot them. :)

Wow I totally admire the way you arranged your stuff, makes them totally easy to find. Some of them I haven't seen before lol! Your cardigan is almost done, hope you'll show it to us when its finished .

How fun to have an organizational wall that's equally pretty and functional. I'd be the type to write the needle size on the brass pins too :)

I love this storage idea! It makes the wall look so pretty and decorative having all of your projects and yarns on the hooks. I may have to consider doing something like this once we get more space. Most of my things are thrown in a bag to get cluttered and tangled which I really hate. But that’s what happens when you have a big family, there are no more rooms for storage! 😄 Thanks for allowing us to enter your craft space this week~

Honestly I’m so down for owning a bronze short sword, they’re in the $100-200 dollar range I think and that’s... a good bit of money..
