Still Not Done!
I'm getting closer, but there is still much more working the wool in really well. Plus, there is more of the design to fill in as you can see especially on the slipper on the left.
I am grateful that the end is in sight now. I can't describe what an emotional experience this is. Probably because I have no idea what I am going to do before I start and during most of the process. When I get to this point, I'm committed enough that I have no choice but to continue, so I relax a bit. Do you feel this way during a project?
Aside from my self-inflicted stress, the mechanics of needle felting are really simple. Buy felting needles and colored unspun wool and have fun!
These are turning out SO pretty! The designs you are adding work very well against the base color.
Thanks @jamethiel! I'm putting the finishing touches on today and will let the customer know they are ready. I'm toning down some colors that seem too bright.
They look and beautiful and warm, @kimmac - I share your creative feelings ... steem on !
Thanks @cryptocariad! Glad to know I'm not alone in getting into such an emotional state when making things.
These are really looking Fab! I just caught up from your last post on when you started these and you are really coming along.
I have definitely been there emotionally and it’s even harder when dealing with an order. Getting through tough projects have definitely gave me more confidence in my craft and I hope it does the same for you! You’re amazing! 😊
