It's NeedleWorkMonday Again!
Check out this blast from my past--a couple of years when I had lots of waiting time in doctor's offices and carpool lines. I knit several replica scarves based on the Dr. Who TV series. Just loads of mindless, soothing garter stitch...
I posted about it here: http://fiberfrau.blogspot.com/2015/12/season-12-scarf-finished.html
Nice scarf... how long does it take you to do one? Is it a hobby or a small business for you?
I think I manage a scarf this length/width in about 25 hours (a sweater is about 40 hours, but that's because of the shaping involved.) If I used the finer wool and smaller needles to be more like the screen original scarf, it would take longer (and cost more!)
Probably using more material because of a tighter weave... :)
I like all of the warm colors you used in this one! Thanks for sharing!
I really like these colours @fiberfrau... I also do a lot of crafting while waiting for appointments...
Nice colors! Sure looks cozy!
That is a very nice, long earthy toned scarf @fiberfrau.
I like the colors and the way you did the stripes in all different sizes!

That is such a neat Dr. Who scarf! I love it!!
Thank you!
Love the colours although I never came into the series.. I really wnated to, and my friends still tell me it will be better after some episodes. After seeing your beautiful scarf, I will think about trying out the show again :-D
I have a friend working on her Dr Who scarf right now. They are such a neat piece but so much work!
I made a scaled-down version for one of my cousins. She is just 5 ft. tall, so an authentic one would envelop her!
