NeedleWorkMonday - String Art Butterfly
Happy #NeedleWorkMonday folks!! If you missed last week’s memo we are currently running a String Art Contest! You can get all of the fun details by clicking on the link!
After my daughter and I completed the owl we decided to do a butterfly in our spare time over the weekend. Yep we’re in a string art craze now lol! We didn’t get it finished but wanted to show what we accomplished so far.
Doing string art is pretty relaxing. I wouldn’t say it’s as relaxing as crocheting is for me but I was in relax mode while working on this. Eventually I might try to do a design on wood using nails to hang in our home. Until then these are fun to do with the supplies we already have on hand.

What a wonderful way to bond and have fun with your daughter! I do love the string art and we do some in the summer when time is our own. (Relatively)
I agree that although it isn't as relaxing as crochet is for me, it gives me time to explore and develop a different relationship working together and letting them lead the way. It is very interesting to see how differently (and yet the same) we work.

Oh, a butterfly string art :D So neat! I really like the different colours of threads you are using here, the primary colours on the bottom wings are nice and bright, and the mixture of colours at the upper wings is very lovely :)
