The rag dolls are one of the oldest toys that exists, in my research I learned that in a museum in England there is a doll that dates back to the times of the Egyptians, coming a little closer to our times have perfected this pretty doll for the girls of the house, placing beautiful hair of all colors and beautiful dresses.
To begin the development of this doll, I must indicate that it is completely made of circles of different diameter, for that I made a picture with the different measurements, and specifying to whom they belong.
๐ธ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐บ:
- Fabrics of different colors to your liking.
- Leather felt fabric for the face.
- Wadding or filling material.
- A pot of margarine.
- Paperboard.
- Eyes or black buttons.
- A school yarn.
- ยฝ meter Razo tape.
- Lace.
- Flowers to decorate.
- Needle and thread.

The first thing I want to talk about is the type of seam that I want to recommend for the elaboration, it is an enveloping seam that will help you to give a better finish to the piece and it is used throughout the process.
๐ฎ๐๐๐๐ ๐บ
For the chest, a cloth is sewed in an enveloping way and placed inside the pot, adjusting it to the edge, a good finish is made so that it does not fall, then cut 2 cardboard lids, and the lining, then you sew on a border of the pot, and with the help of the silicone stick the other lid to cover the imperfections and make the lid more resistant.
๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐ ๐
For the body we choose a beautiful fabric, which is the most striking, fill with wadding leaving an opening in the middle and put the pot that we just finished, adjusting seam on the edge again taking care that it is neat, do not worry much if you see the threads and then we have to cover with lace.
๐ ๐ฑ๐๐๐ ๐
After doing the sewing and filling we adjust in the back, without tightening a lot, calculate the size of the head with respect to the body; with the help of the thumbs we calculate the place where you will locate the eyes and nose, with a longer needle we put some stitches squeezing a bit to make a small slit, then sew the eyes making several stitches so they do not fall and you make beautiful eyelashes, then stick your nose with silicone; To finish mark with a pencil the place where you are going to sew the mouth and make a seam with red or pink thread.
๐ณ๐๐ ๐
Let's make the hat, and for that I would like you to look at the photographs, I made a cylinder with wadding to place inside the fabric so that it is without many imperfections, then stuffed with all you have, since you will not see each other side.
We put the face together with the cap and adjust with a seam around the edge of the face. Then we stick the head to the body with the help of silicone.

Finally you do a hair of a color that stands out with the fabrics, in my case I made it of 60 cm, so that I would stay long, you can place wide lace on the head and thin on the neck or vice versa. Always using silicone. Decorate as you like, place your hands and feet as you see in the photo, and paint her face with a little flush, if you want you do some freckles.

Thank you for sharing the tutorial @carolinacardoza. I've always wondered how the dolls are made and you put together the steps very clearly. I like the pink one at the end :)
Thank you very much for your comment, it is very important for me, how good you like it.
What a cute little doll!
I really like the fact that it doubles up as a hidden box for small items ( I understood correctly?), really cool!
Thank you very much for your support, you also do beautiful things.
I was wondering why on earth you incorporated the margarine tub until I saw the picture at the end--how neat that the doll doubles as a clever container to keep treasures in!
