Needlework Monday: Things I've Made

I recently received some awesome sock yarn as a gift, and I've decided to start making a pair of socks for myself. This one is just a regular vanilla pattern off the top of my head using Patons Kroy yarn in the Camo Colors colourway. For this pair I cast on 64 stitches using US size 3 double pointed needles. It has been pretty smooth sailing so far. I did the cuff using a 2x2 rib, and then a plain stockinette leg. The heel is just a generic heel flap with a rounded French heel. Now I'm moving on to the foot, so it shouldn't be too much longer before I make it in to the toe and then cast on the second sock!

I'd love to know what needles everyone uses when they are making socks and if there are any preferred patterns. I'm always looking for new and fun sock patterns!

Happy knitting everyone!
