Final Four NCAA: with a DiVincenzo on fire, Villanova wins his 2nd title in three years!

in #ncaa7 years ago

Villanova confirmed its NCAA stronghold status last night. Two years after their buzzer triumph over North Carolina, Jay Wright's players were back in the game on Monday, this time against Michigan. The road to the title and the consecration match were much less dramatic than in 2016. The Wildcats beat all their opponents by at least 10 points and claimed a stunning offensive superiority throughout the tournament.

The hero of the night for "Nova" was not the senior Jalen Brunson (9 points to 4/13) or the probable lottery pick Mikal Bridges, excellent otherwise with 19 points and 4 rebounds to 7/12. Donte DiVincenzo, who had already had his trigger-happy qualities admired in the previous round, literally caught fire in the final. With 31 points (10/15 including 6/10 to 3 points) on the counter, the sophomore triggered hysteria on the networks and led his team to victory. "DDV" logically won the Most Outstanding Player trophy at the Final Four.

Michigan, where this admirable course must not remain a dead letter either, is Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rakhman who held his rank best (23 points to 8/13), with the interior Moritz Wagner (16 point, 6 rebounds), very visible throughout the Tournament.

PS: Sry for my english ^^
