Hypothetical Big Trade: Sixers and Pelicans

The Sixers are currently the 5th seed in the East which would not even get them home court advantage in the playoffs. There has been a lot of talk about splitting up Simmons and Embiid due to incompatibility and specifically Simmon's lack of a three point shot, but it would be foolish to give up on that pairing without exhausting all other options.

With Zion Williamson's explosive game in the paint it's important to have a big man to pair with him that can stretch the floor, which Horford provides. Holiday is an all star so New Orleans would be looking to shed salary in a package that includes him (Hence adding in Darius Miller) and they'd also want some young talent to even out the trade. Zhaire Smith was drafted at 16 back in 2018 but many thought he was a top 10 talent.
