I've been waiting for the season to start so I can post again! Hopefully, I'll be posting my NBA reactions every week.

1. The former Utah Jazz player Gordon Hayward's injury, as gruesome as it may look, will not cost the Celtics their season. Reports say that he will miss majority of the season. I'm predicting that he will miss 60 games and will play the remaining 22 games with limited minutes so he can be ready for the playoffs.

2. With that being said, there are a lot of people saying this is Kyrie's chance to be "the man", but for the Celtics to be successful while Hayward is out, everyone has to be "the man". Based from this game, Jaylen Brown seems to be up for the challenge to fill such a huge void.

3. It was great to see Kyrie greeting his former teammates amidst all the drama.

4. PJ Tucker's flagrant foul on Kevin Durant is only a regular foul. The second contact was necessary to prevent a three-point-play from happening.

5. Houston's comeback is a testament of how crucial Draymond Green's presence is on the defensive AND on the offensive end. Warriors made their first eight shots off Green's passes.

6. Nick Young exploded in the first half in terms of scoring output, but his +/- was terrible. It's only the first game though. I'm predicting that he is going to average 11 points per game.

7. Take the results of the games today as a grain of salt. All four teams who played today missed important pieces: Gordon Hayward, Isaiah Thomas, Nene Hilario, Draymond Green, and Andre Iguodala. Nonetheless, it was a great start to this season sans the injuries.
