Man Made Forest in Province of Bohol, Philippines
Man made forest is stretching in a two kilometers stretch of densely planted Mahogany tress located in Loboc Bohol province. Man made forest was part of a bigger reforestation project that was created in response to the alarming deforestation in the Loboc watershed. This was caused by destructive slash and burn faming system called "kaingin", which was done by the locals who sought refuge in the forest area during World War II. And it was a successful part of LWRP due to government employees, laborers, students, scouts, pupils and socio-civics volunteers who came in droves from 1968'd to late 1970's to plant some seedlings taken from the nursery in Logarita in barangay Riverside, Bilar.
The man made forest in Bohol has been one of many tourists attraction in the Philippines. It stands out because of the uniformity in heights, the spread of branches and the thickness of the leaves. The tidy road and forest make it very relaxing in Bohol trippers. Both locals and tourists stay for a half an hour or more to breath the fresh air and to hear the natural sounds of birds and trees. The view nd the wonderful erectile order of man made forest makes it verry attractive to travellers.
How to get there?
• If you are from Tagbilaran Bohol, you can join a group tour offered by various tours and hotels.
• You may also rent a van or motorcycle to get there.
• You may take a public transportation but getting ou can be a problem since the bus wont really wait for you. You have to wait the next bus to move to your next stop which is more stressful and time consuming.
But in our side when we visited man made forest we just rent a truck. Less stress and we are so comfortable and a lot of time we can spend.
Visiting a place like man made forest is a unforgettable one, because as visitor it is very rare to visit a place like that.
A friendly note: There is no designated parking space in man made forest. When you visit there, i bet you won't be the only one camwhoring at that place. BUT BE CAREFUL! You might be focysing in taking pictures that might you forget that it's still a part of highway. Many vehicles passing the forest with a very speedy.

Nice place
Thank you!
It is such a nice place. If we all unite and start projects like this, we will be filling up patches of land and turn them into eco-sanctuaries.
Yeah! When we are one and have unity we can make like this.
