Grasshopper_Beautiful and Interesting Insect
Hello my dear friends I am again here on steemit platform with a new post my this post will be about an insect which is grasshopper so let's see.
Grasshoppers can be found almost everywhere in the world, except for the colder regions near the North and South poles When the female lays her eggs, she covers them with a paste-like liquid that will protect them during the winter. Grasshoppers shed their skins as they grow, usually molting several times before emerging as winged adults. They live in fields, meadows, and just about anywhere they can find generous amounts of leaves to eat. There are 18,000 kinds of grasshoppers in the world. The longest grasshopper is eleven cm long.A Grasshopper is an amazing insect that can leap 20 times the length of its own body.
Grasshoppers have no ears. They hear with an organ called tympanum
Grasshoppers have five eyes Like all insects, the grasshopper has six legs. The two rear legs are
specialized and strengthened for jumping, while the front two pairs are used only for walking on the ground When the female lays her eggs, she
covers them with a paste-like liquid that will protect them during the winter.
Sometimes when you pick up a grasshopper, dark fluid will come out of the insect's mouth Because grasshoppers are sometimes found in tobacco, it is sometimes said that this fluid is "tobacco juice", and that the grasshopper is "spitting" at you because it is mad. As it turns out, most grasshoppers can produce this fluid, even if they haven't been eating tobacco. It is not tobacco juice though: it is a defensive chemical
produced inside the grasshopper.
