Millennial monsters and predators Part # 2 (Mokèle-mbèmbé) The monster of Lake Télé.
At the beginning of the year, 1981, a story called the attention of the aerospace engineer of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), Herman Regusters.
A story about a monster that had its habitat in the lake called Télé. The creature was called Mokéle-mbémbé and was a kind of prehistoric monster.
Many said it was something like a Sauropod, a long-necked prehistoric dinosaur.
The references of this monster come from the beginning of the 20th century. French and German visitors told tales they heard from locals about a large monster that lived in the forest.
According to the paleontologist of the Museum of Natural History of London, Paul Barret, there is no way that a creature of this type exists for this time without the human being having the knowledge of its existence.
"We have no evidence in the fossil record of the last 66 million years of the existence of any monster that bears any resemblance to a Sauropod in the world," he explains.
Moving away from the dinosaurs, we can say that "it is impossible for a very large animal that lives on land or in lakes to hide in the African jungle.
"Large animals require a large population to survive, in addition to an extensive territory to meet their food needs, says Barret.
The idea that there is one or two giant animals in Lake Télé does not make sense according to this scientist.
I hope you enjoyed the second part of this section that I started in my blog with the purpose of exploring and traveling through time. To discover everything that is as true as it is uncertain in the history of the living beings of our planet.
Regards!
