Picking mushrooms.

in #nature7 years ago

In August and September, people with backpacks on their back, buckets or a basket in their hands, dressed in boots and hats, often appear on roads and stops. This mushroom pickers go to the "hunt".
In the hike for mushrooms, not only the result is important, but the collection process itself. It's nice to walk in the woods with a basket in your hands, enjoying the fresh air saturated with forest flavors, listening to the singing of birds, admiring the natural beauties!

Before the trip you need to decide on the route, choose where to go. Experienced mushroom pickers have their own proven mushroom sites for years. If you are new to this business, it is better to consult with knowledgeable people.
I'm no longer a novice, but also not an experienced mushroom picker. I know a few good places where I collect chanterelles, butter mushrooms and mushrooms. But this time we went to a new place for me - in a pine forest near the village of Bobrovka.

The distance from Barnaul to Bobrovka is 37 km.
Google has identified us for the road 41 minutes. However, we traveled a bit more than an hour because of the repair of the road in front of Bobrovka. Even got into a small traffic jam. We got into the forest about 12 hours. It's a bit late.

It's good to collect mushrooms in the morning, until it's so hot. In the morning they are better seen - hats, damp from the dew, a little pale. And, of course, it would be better to get around the forest to other mushroom pickers, otherwise the mushrooms will be left with only legs.
Going to the forest, you need to prepare well. Clothes should be on weather, but it is better closed that insects did not climb and twigs did not scratch. Shoes with dense soles and headdress. You need to take drinking water with you.
Everything is ready, you can go!
When collecting mushrooms, the main rule "do not know the fungus, you doubt - do not take it." There are many cases of poisoning. I always take only proven ones. The rest I take pictures and leave the forest inhabitants)).
And this time there were those that I have never seen. If someone understands, I will be grateful for the help.
The first was an unusual mushroom with a pink hat and yellow bottom, soft to the touch. Looks like edible, but we do not take risks!

Then came a whole glade of small fungi with an interesting shape. Probably poisonous.

And the third unknown for me was a white giant.

He has a very strong mushroom smell, a dense structure of the legs and a soft hat.
Such, too, was a whole family.
But do not you think there were good mushrooms! Unfortunately not very often. There were many mugs, but most of them were wormy or already old. It was necessary to go for a week early, we would collect an excellent harvest!
But, as I wrote above, not only the result is important. Mushroom picking is very interesting (especially when they are 😊). They do not always wait for you at the entrance to the forest as a friendly company!
This mushroom was hiding under a leaf and a branch.

This one was not visible at all. Only a bulge protruded on the ground.

And this handsome man grew up near a stump in the middle of moss.

Also came across chanterelles, russules and bullheads.
When picking mushrooms, there are two options: cut them or twist. But do not tear it down! Cut as close to the ground as possible. If you leave a large leg, it can corrupt and ruin the mycelium.

There were a lot of fallen trees in this forest. Some are sawn, and some lay with a scraped root. Apparently they were old and they were knocked down by a strong wind.

During the search for mushrooms came across and berries.

Stone berry.

Lingonberry.

To deliver the mushrooms home safely and safely, it is best to go through them immediately in the forest. Crop all unnecessary, remove from them debris and foliage. The whole crop to lay down with hats down. Dense mushrooms on the bottom, and soft from above, so as not to crumble and not crumpled. And at home there will be less work!
As a result of our "quiet hunting" we collected a few mushrooms and chewing gum, about half a bucket of chanterelles, russules and gobies, about two liters of cranberries and many beautiful photos!
