Cars and boats were even frozen? What was the temperature then? Was it colder than usual for that time?
It was nearly minus 30° Celsius.
In the higher regions you hav some times minus 24° celsius.
-30 degrees Celsius is about -22 degrees Fahrenheit (I don't have the symbol for degrees on my computer), and that is cold!!! I know that Alaska has those temperatures, but I don't really know where else in the US that happens very often. The coldest city of the US is Fairbanks, Alaska with their average cold being -16 degrees Fahrenheit or -22 degrees Celsius. Their lowest recorded temperature was -66 degrees Fahrenheit, -54.444 Celsius. Not sure what would operate well in that cold weather! I certainly wouldn't!
