RE: SAND?

in #nature8 years ago (edited)

[] Hello @amirluq and @gmalhotra
Nice photo and good question. The answer from @gmalhotra is absolutely correct says a Viking from Norway (Old Norse sandr). Today we say and write sand. In Iceland they still say and write sandr. The underlying answer in the question is "sand = from sea and land?" THAT IS CORRECT. Way back in history you could walk from Norway to England (Great Britain). There was only sand because it had been ocean, like it is today again. This has to do with the ICE age and land moving up and down. So sand between land is correct.

Steemlove to you all
From another Viking

If all Norwegians, or should I say Vikings, are as friendly as you, I'll need to set my sights on northern Europe for a vacation.

Yes we are friendly and honest too, so I most warn you. It is almost infinite expensive here. If you go to Norway, you must see the fjords an the mountains. That is breathtaking and unique.
