A Dutch Botanical Garden (with many photo’s)
Yesterday I was having a really bad day, so I decided to unite myself with nature and went to the Botanical Garden in Leiden. It’s a a garden with a wide range of plants, the prettiest during the spring. It has some specialist plants from particular parts of the world. It also has a greenhouse and a shadehouse. My favorite part was the tropical house, in which it was 40 degrees but with plants you can only find in Asia.
The botanical gardens is runned by my university or and often has associated herbaria and research programmes in plant taxonomy or some other aspect of botanical science. I’m at a completely different faculty, but it does mean that I have free access.
This was the favorite one: the lovetree.
