Pokeball #4: South American Gray Fox
The South American gray fox is a solitary animal that has long been hunted for its pelt.
It can be found as far north as the warm scrublands of Argentina's Gran Chaco region and as far south as the cold Patagonian steppe and the forests of Chile's Magallanes region.
Mating is monogamous between partners and breeding usually occurs in the late austral fall (March-April).
After a gestation period of two months, two to four kits are born (usually in a den). Both males and females play a role in caring for their young.
