RINGED SALAMANDER WITH MAPLE LEAVES
Another combination of colors.
This is another photo shoot that makes me wish my camera wasn't malfunctioning is darker situations, like the overcast day that we had when the photos were taken. Thankfully, there is still enough here to appreciate. I thought that the black and yellow of the salamander and the red of the fall leaves would make a nice contrast, and I think that can still be seen.

Salamanders are so sticky/slimy. They seem intelligent also.
We found one the other night that appeared to have rear legs, but no feet. It had almost microscopic front feet. Was dark brown, shiny, and had no rings around it. Very tiny guy!
