Interesting article about how restoration is progressing with the Bayou Lafourche fresh water diversion project in South Louisiana. Lafourche means fork in french, and Bayou Lafourche was a fork of the Mississippi River at one point in time, it's a shame that it was sealed off from it. I'd prefer that they cut through the levee and let the water flow naturally, but we're not going to get that, so this is the next best thing. The area to the south of the bayou really needs the sediment in the River water. It's not a lot of water flow, but better than what we have now.....

I wonder if they have the ability to expand the pumping capacity if they decide that is needed in the future...?
I doubt it, they'll probably have to start over with a new one.
That's shame, not planning for the future
I guess it will look more like a little river now instead of a idle body of water.
I wonder what the people living there will say, the water is now causing erosion along the banks...?
