Interesting article about how the energy company that was going to build right next to the Mid-Barataria Sediment Diversion has decided to withdraw its permit and build elsewhere. I think this is a good thing as it increases the effectiveness of the fresh water diversion, which is going to need to be effective as possible as the wetlands continue to wash away from saltwater intrusion, among other reasons. The more land that this diversion can build the better for the environment of the area.....
