It’s Springtime Among the Peacocks

On my daily walk I usually see a peacock or two. I noticed that the males are starting to get very colorful as their feathers grow longer. But I haven’t seen them preen yet.

Until today...

This guy stands on the corner, slowly rotating as he calls out to the ladies.

Meanwhile, another big male sits in a fence about a block away...

A female is down below, deciding who she likes...

I snapped some photos as I walked past, and lo and behold, on my way back I see that she evidently chose him!

Meanwhile, our friend on the corner is still alone, as he danced and calls ... waiting for someone to notice him
