Probably a type of stinkhorn mushroom, the common name is red cage fungi.

Latin name is Clathrus ruber, pretty cool specimen you found, i bet you could grow some nice edible mushrooms in that garden.

It's like in the photo, I didn't change anything, but it's the only one I found.
Sprinkle some morel spores or chantrelle spores i bet they would grow there.

Very strange and interesting plant!
I see this for the first time, I would really like to know what it is.
According to a Steemian "sketch.and.jam" it is a mushroom which has the Latin name of Clathrus ruber.
