 After making a comparison between the time spent by the average person outdoors now and a few decades ago, we instantly notice a massive change regarding the habits and priorities of society over time. Futhermore, if we compare the number of people suffering from anxiety and depression now compared to a few decades ago, the same change applies. Obviously, people are constantly going through an evolution process that does not necessarily have a positive side. Instead of acting in their favor by discovering inner peace and the beauty within or around them, people are living in stress, distraction, tiredness and laziness. This type of life cannot lead to positive and spiritual experiences. For this reason, people must grasp the nettle and act for their well-being, physically and mentally. The recipe for awakening consists in more movement and activity, a deeper connection with nature and those around, a more spiritual life and a positive mindset.    

Dare to make that needed change in your life 

  Do you remember the last time you were on a family adventure or when you last organized a fun road trip with friends? Do you remember the last time you felt truly happy and at peace with yourself? What made you cry with laughter the last time? What hobbies do you currently have? What are your passions or guilty pleasures? However, you do not even have to because the main idea is to think about these things and assess the stage you are in and that you cannot seem to overcome. It impedes you to admire the most beautiful things in life, notice the details, and enjoy every second with the ones you love or alone in the nature. Nature undoubtedly represents the natural source of positivity and happiness. Turning your back to such a gift is almost a sin but nature is forgiving and it will always welcome you warmly. You just have to disconnect from all the agitation, distractions, obligations and responsibilities you have for a few hours.  Whether you go on an adventure into the wild, go camping with the family, travel around the world and photograph the most interesting and exciting places or a big forest with lakes, tall trees and woodland choir, what matters is to act. The goal is to recognize beauty that lies in nature and all around you but also to forget for a few moments about the city life. The truth is that you have countless possibilities and means to leave the city for a weekend and create a spiritual relationship with nature.  

The city life is alluring and sometimes overwhelming

If you were born in the city and you never had the opportunity to experience the wild life then you do not encounter difficulties adjusting to programs, making schedules and living by a pattern. You cannot necessarily state that you despise this kind of life. Of course, you have to work in order to afford living in the city but you also have the chance to enjoy modern entertainment, stay up to date with changes and innovations, learn how to use the latest gadget and create a virtual life. Indeed, the city is alluring and it provides a wide range of options for everything including healthcare, jobs, restaurants, entertainment methods and more. For instance, you can take a smart phone with you everywhere and use it to find out the latest news and weather reports, see what other people do at the same time by checking their social media profiles and even playing your favorite game or exploring online casinos to nourish your secret pleasure, gambling. However, nobody is asking you to give up on your hobbies or passions. If you enjoy playing online poker, blackjack or roulette, you can still do it as long as you give your mind the necessary time to heal in nature.  

Take a breath of fresh air

Nowadays, people focus their attention almost entirely on television, computer and phone. This is not a secret and it not necessarily harmful but it becomes concerning when they overlook important aspects like bonding with their loved ones, deepening their spiritual life and just relaxing. Once you rediscover nature, you will instantly realize the benefits that simply breathing clean air provides. Only nature can allow you to breathe that much-needed fresh air. The pollution caused by vehicles and even people in the city fills your lungs with garbage, causes you stress and even lead to or worsens already existing medical conditions. Sitting in the middle of a field or a forest and inhaling the clean air is one of the most pleasant feelings in the world.  

Ways that will help you get closer to nature  

 If you cannot break the connection with the city all of a sudden, then it’s advisable that you start slowly. For instance, you could just go outside your house and sit down on the freshly mowed grass in the front or backyard. If you have a garden, then flowers and colors will surround you. During that time, you can meditate or read a good book that will stimulate your imagination. Even in the city, you can find natural areas like parks, botanical gardens, insectariums and more so you can go in the weekends alone, with friends or with the family. Try to focus your attention more on weather, flowers, animals, insects and everything else part of the nature and all around you. The most important thing is to remain disconnected from electronics or mobile devices. Do not take your phone with you if you plan to take a peaceful and relaxing walk because it will ruin the beauty of the moment and that calm state you are trying to achieve.
