Hidden Waterfalls Not Many Knows About

My boyfriend was driving around the town where he has been residing for almost a year. It is also a town very near my city. While driving he saw some signboard with a name of a waterfalls just some KM away. As someone who loves nature, he told me right away about it and was excited to explore it together. I shrug it off as i have never heard about a waterfalls in that town, i told him that there is only a hotspring and a dam which we have already been.

Just couple of days after, my friend and i were on a trip to somewhere and a friend of her message her on facebook with a picture of a waterfalls and her friend told her it is in the town where my boyfriend lives in, i then message him and we then planned a day to explore it together.

So the day came, and we were driving not very far and we already saw the sign which points out to where the falls is. We left the motorbike near the road as there are some part of the street that is very hard to drive through. We hiked our way to the falls and ask direction, some of the resident didnt even know where the Magmal falls is and told us that there is only the hotspring, we just knew that there should be one and maybe they just didnt know about it.

We continued to walk our way deeper into the mountains and saw the sign again. We followed the sign til atlast, we were able to see where the entrance is. There is a very cheap entrance fee of 10php and you also have to log your name and address at their log book.

We started our way down a slope, it was quite dangerous as there is no stairs going down only sand and some stones We were also just wearing some flipflops at that time so its kinda hard as you need a good grip just so you wont fall and roll down.

We were able to make it down the slope and into the running water with a lot of big rocks, there was a pool like rock formation where water is falling and i thought that was all of it so i was kinda dismayed.

But then, we discovered that there is more to it. We trekked through the big rocks and boulders and, Alas! We are finally there! Infront of us is a beautiful creation. The waterfalls is not that tall but it is divided by 3 layers. We were mesmerized by the beauty of it.

My boyfriend tried to climb the first layer of the falls to get into the 2nd one but i was scared that it might be too slipper so i advice him to come down.

Just in time when we are about to go back, we saw some kids and a guy just around our age, i ask them if its possible to climb the falls to get to the other one, and just our luck he said YES and even offered us a ladder as it turns out that he is also one of the caretakers. He said that the place is still being developed and have not been opened to the public til recently so thats the reason why not many knows about it. They guide us and help us climb the first and 2nd falls but he said that the 3rd one is beyond our reach as it is believe that some mysterious beings are residing there. So we just didnt attempt to. We then took a dip into the falls and came down as it was also getting dark.

It was a day Worth more than anything else. A day discovering new place and meeting good people. A day being one with nature. We will deffinitely come back and enjoy this place again.
