Depuis quelques années les loups sont réintroduits en Europe. Les loups ont toujours été présents en Italie, en Portugal et en Espagne. Depuis peu, il est revenu en France et en Allemagne. Certainement, qu'ils ont été réintroduits par les frontières des l'Est avec la Slovaquie, passant par la forêt Bavaroise en Allemagne ainsi que par le Pologne. Pour la réintroduction en France, il passeraient par le parc du Mércantour via l'Italie.
