Morni Hills : A Must visit Place in Haryana
Morni Hills is situated at the height of 1,267 metres (4,157 ft) in the Panchkula district of the Indian state of Haryana. Actually Morni is a beautiful village which attracts tourists from all over INDIA. It is located around 45 kilometres (28 mi) from Chandigarh, 35 kilometres (22 mi) from Panchkula city and is known for its Himalayan views, flora, and lakes.
According to loacal people the name of Morni is believed to derive from a queen who once ruled the area.
It is only hilly area in all-over haryana which contain some of beautiful views .
For acccomodation there are many options available like resorts and hotels . There is also a resort run by government - Mountain Quail tourist resort at Tikkar Taal .Tikker taal itself has large camping and picnic ground with outdoor seats, cobbled paths, a very high fountain, picnic facilities, boating etc.

A hill divides the two lakes, the larger one is called Bhim Taal or just Tikkar Taal and the smaller one is called Draupdi Taal or Chota Tikkar Taal .
There is also a waterfall which is active in rainy season.
Morni Fort
The local people believe that the morni fort was constructed in 17th century. It was still in good condition . There is lot of greenary around the fort. There were two other smaller forts at Garhi Kotaha and further 5 km at Massompur village hillock (both in Raipur Rani tehsil of Panchkula district) .
The best time to visit MOrni hills is the Rainy season as the beautiful weather adds more attraction to the hills .
