Bodhi tree
The Bodhi tree as known as " peepal tree " and arasa maram " was a large and ancient sacred fig tree in Bodh gaya ,Bihar ,India.
The bodhi tree is recoginzable by its heart shape leaves,
which are usually prominently displayed.
Bodhi trees which have agreat significane in the history of buddhism are the anandabodhi tree in sravasti and the bodhi tree in anuradhapura, shrilanka. Gautama buddha attained enlightenment while meditating under neath a ficus religiosa,
,The Buddha meditated with out moving from his seat for seven weeks under this tree...
