The Anarchy of Planting Seeds (thoughts on nature, entrepreneurship, and success)

in #nature6 years ago (edited)

I hope you’ll enjoy this short video talk on nature, entrepreneurship, and success, inspired by my good friend, farmer, and fellow Steemian, @nicksikorski.

VIDEO DESCRIPTION:

Inspired by a short exchange with a friend, some thoughts on the nature of successful entrepreneurship, and the lively exchange that occurs when we stop being so “careful,” and start sowing seeds like anarchists—trying new things in a generous, careless, dedicated and persistent, natural flow,—just like the greatest anarchist there ever was, nature herself.

Well done. We're planting now too actually. Got a small piece of property and we're finally getting move in! Best of luck!

I love your mindset. Maybe I'm being too modest in my attempts this year. I'm gonna buy more seeds. I appreciate the insight.

I'm laughing because we sound like incredibly similar people. The stresses of growing the seeds of anarchy. The wife being mad. The learning on the fly. I'm growing a garden, operating an unregistered side business, making unregistered money. Its awesome, because anarchy! And I keep feeling like I want to do so much more. Liberty is a catchy idea, huh?

Awesome man! I didn’t realize we had so much in common. That’s great. I’m glad you liked the post. You’re right, trying to do your own thing in a world that generally doesn’t want you to can be stressful as hell, but mad props to those who actually go out there and do it!

Cheers and Godspeed!

Great work man! Growing our own food and re-discovering our connection to nature is one of the greatest acts of rebellion that we have, anarchy in it's purest form .. plus the food tastes so much better!! :)

It really does!

Thank you for being one of the few people on #Steemit who knows what #anarchism is

Thank you, sensei :) Love the video series the most, man.
Speaking of bugs, that'll be your enemy to study. Keep us updated dude, I may learn something along the way for when I'm ready to take a similar path to gardening.

Thanks bro. I will indeed keep you updated! Our new house is right in a little pocket surrounded by wet, lush forest, so I am certain the "invasion" is coming soon. On the bright side, there are armies of wolf spiders in the garden area, so I am hoping they will serve as my little minion soldiers in mitigating any unwanted pests there.

Sounds like you've got the same sort of soil as us! I love Nick's approach of planting lots. I might just need to take that mentality.

I recently wrote an article for a magazine on enjoying whatever you get from your garden, even if it's not much or not very big. I don't always have time to keep on top of the garden so I take the approach of taking what I can get.

Just jump in with both feet. The water is fine. Fear just holds you back.

Nice video learned things about nature success and entrepreneurship.

Is Anarchy now a word for reinventing the wheel?

Not that I’m aware of.
