Maracaibo Lake | Venezuela

Maracaibo Lake , in Venezuela, has entered in the World Records of the World's Largest Lightning Concentration. Basically, it can be said that over this lake there is a storm that never stops.

Every evening at 19, the lightning begins their symphony, which lasts for ten hours. And that, for 260 nights every year.

The blue lake | Hokkaido

The dam on the Tokachi River, on the Japanese island of Hokkaido, is a famous tourist attraction already. The water of this dam has an electrifying blue color, and what is even more striking is that it changes color when you look at it from different angles.

Moreover, the color of the water changes with the seasons, varying in shades of blue and green. Scientists believe strange colors are the "work" of the aluminum hydroxide particles in the water, which, depending on the angle you look at, reflects the light differently.

Iguazo

Cataratas del Iguazo in South America is more commonly known as the Iguazo waterfall. Part of the River Rio Iguazo, the waterfall is on the border between Argentina and Brazil. This waterfall has a width of 2,682 meters and water falls from a height of 82 meters.

The name Iguazo comes from the native language of the area and signifies "great water".

Numerous islands along its 2.7 km margins separate the cascade into several cascades and smaller cataracts with heights of 60 to 82 meters. The number of these small cascades varies from 150 to 300, depending on the water level. Approximately half of the flow of the river passes through a high and narrow gulf, called the Devil's Throat.

The cascade can be reached through two major cities on either side of the waterfront: Puerto Iguazú in Argentina and Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil, and the cascade can also be accessed from Ciudad del Este, Paraguay.
