Sheffield Park Red
Autumn Reds
Mondays always used to be "red" day although the colour challenges, like a lot of thins around here these days, seem to have died down recently.
However, after my trip to Sheffield Park last week it seemed like the perfect time to resurrect it.
So many beautiful reds to be seen.
Nothing quite says autumn like a
Red Acer Tree
Or how about some
Red Berries Red Leaves
Or some
Black Berries Red Leaves
Or maybe, just some
Red Berries
This one looks like the perfect background to a Christmas Card I think.
That's a bit of a wintery thought!
I'm more than happy to stick with these beautifully warm 'Indian Summer' days for now. 😁
How about you? Are you ready for winter or are you happy to wait a little longer?

I would definitely like more fall, we barely stopped having summer temps around my part of Texas, although today is rainy and cold with only a high of 46 degrees F!
46 degrees F in Texas in October? 😱
That's unusual isn't it @violetmed?
You captured some beautiful reds! I really love the first red tree! I’m waiting for our trees to turn these colors so I can capture them. Thanks for sharing. 😊
It sees like the bright reds and bright yellows are the first to turn completely. Other trees are taking it more slowly. 😊

Pretty! I've never heard of an acer tree before. I guess that's where Acer, the company, got its name.
We had some dark red maple leaves on campus. I'm hoping to see some in the wooded areas this weekend. We'll see.
I hope you find some @fotosdenada. They are such a joy to see. I'm making the most of it while I can. 😁
Beautiful tree, are those berries edible @gillianpearce ?
I have no idea @wilhb81 but I would guess that they are not.

Love your reds..... and anything with berries.
I am not a winter person. I don't love needing to wear heavy coats nor real shoes. I do not like being cold, so I don't look forward too it. It is only barely tolerable because it has some of the good holidays in it, which gives me other things to keep my mind on.
I'm with you on that one @jacey.boldart but I do love the change of the seasons so I wouldn't want to lose it altogether. A couple months of cold would be enough for me though.
My favourite clothes are just a dress and sandles and underwear of course! 😱
It's one of the reasons I was never a huge fan of skiing. I love being in the peace of the mountains but I hate all that layering up. 😁
Totally in LOVE with photo number 1!!!!! ♥♥♥
Thank you @maria444. I think my favourite is number three. I love those black berries.
Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comments. 😊
howdy there gillianpearce! such vibrant colors, I love these photos! It's almost worth having a long, bitter cold, dark winter if we can have all these grand colors isn't it? lol.
I'm not sure a "long, bitter cold, dark winter" is necessary to produce those colours @janton. And, I for one, would prefer not to have one. A couple of cold months, and by that I mean English cold, would do me.
A few days of snow scattered amoungst it. Then onto Spring. Pefect! 😁
oh wow gillianpearce, it sounds like you guys have mild winters over there? I suppose the Queen orders them that way! lol.

October - December is my favourite time of the year, so more than happy to wait a little longer. That first tree is cute though :)
This tree in the first photo looks very interesting. It reminds me of an umbrella. Bright red umbrella on green trees background :)
That's an interesting observation @madlenfox but I can see what you mean about the umbrella! 😁
