Pumpkins Want To Be Something Else
Pumpkins Suffer From Identity Crisis
In a "conversation" with jacey.boldart yesterday I happened to mention that I still have loads of pumpkin photographs that I haven't posted.
She believes that you can never have too many pumpkins so, if you're bored of seeing them, you can blame her for this post.
This set portray very nicely that well know psychological problem that pumpkins so frequently suffer from.
It comes about when they start to ruminate on the fact that they are just one of hundreds in a pumpkin patch.
Such thinking frequently brings on a Pumpkin Identify Crisis. 😂
Here are some sad examples of severe cases I spotted whilst walking around the pumpkin patch.
Pumpkin Wants To Be Human In Order To Have A Flower Tattoo
Pumpkin Wants To Be A Cottage Loaf
Pumpkins Want To Be Acorns
Pumpkin Wants To Be A Flower
Which do you feel is the most severe case of Pumpkin Identity Crisis?

wow! I've never seen anything of this except their traditional look :) you've put together a good collection. Such diversity, well done @gillianpearce!
Thank you @madlenfox and there are loads more that I haven't posted. 😁
haha, @gillianpearce , I'm guessing that.
You have a large stock of photos, I'm sure :)
Acorn, because they corrupt the little ones
LOL
Hmmm. You've lost me there @wolfhart! 😂
There were smaller pumpkins there and the bigger one made the little change
Ok ok ok you do know I take drugs. In my defense 🤣
Oh. It's like that is it @wolfhart? You're going to start pleading dugs as an excuse! 😂 🤣😂
ROFL
I will throw everything against the wall and see what sticks.
Interesting looking pumpkins you found, there. It's fun to see what a little cross-pollination can do... One year, I mixed pumpkkin and zucchini. The result were orange-and-green striped pumpchinnis. Or were they zumpkins?
😂 I didn't know you could mix them like that @fotosdenada. What did they taste like?
I wish I could tell you, but you would have to ask the rabbits that got through the fence and ate part of every single one. Zucchini are a type of squash, so you can actually cross pollinate them fairly easily. I usually just plant two different squash species in the same place and let the bees do the work for me :-)
Very smart @fotosdenada.
Now you just need to get smart about the rabbits. 😁
I hear rabbit stew is mighty tasty...
They eat a lot of it in Malta @fotosdenada and many other rabbit dishes too. 😁
Oh, I have to admit, I love the tattooed one and the one that looks like a flower. I have eaten both of them too! One can never post too many pumpkins or Christmas ornaments. That is my motto and I'm sticking to it!
What a delightful post that put a smile on my face today! Thank you for that! A day late and a dollar short, but, I loved it just as much!
Tip!
I'm glad you enjoyed it @dswigle. It made me smile too.
Do the different types of pumpkin taste any different. it's not something we eat here much to be honest. 😊
They actually do! Some have a smooth taste to them and others are rather tart or on the bitter side. Of course, using butter and milk and sometimes cinnamon makes everything taste better!
Please ! Blame ME ! I laughed before I ever saw the first photo. LOL !!
You did a great twist to make a fine pumpkin blog and everyone seems to be having fun with it. I must have been right!.... looking around all proud ....ha ha 😁 💛 🎃
I love all the these wannabees. The white flower is nice and the acorns too, but I believe my fav is the yellow tattoo.
Do it again !! ✨
Ha, ha, ha. @jacey.boldart. You're bad!
I'm not sure I have any to top that. Oh hand on . . . I just had an idea. I've got 5 days to implement it. 😁 💛 🎃
If I had more time today I could have done it for @dswigle's #marketfriday but I'm out with my daughter all day and it will take a while to put together.
We shall see . . . 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
Those are some cute ones, I love this time of year don't you? ♥
I have to say I'm enjoying it much more than I usually do to be honest @sunscape.
I have the grandkids to thank for that. 😁
Spring and summer are my favourite seasons but I love living somewhere where I get to expereince all four of them.
Grand kids always make life a lot more enjoyable. I love the 4 seasons too. Living in western, ny gives us that.
Haha you have found some interesting looking pumpkins @gillianpearce! I've never seen anything like it. They sure do seem a bit confused but very interesting looking nonetheless. The most severe case would have to be the flower one!
Did you pick any of them to take home?
My grandson picked a couple of little ones to take home for his mum. Stripey ones as his mum is very fond of stripes. 😂
Thanks for stopping by @gardeningchef and joining the conversation!
Those are some interesting pumpkins.
Yeah. There was a great variety there @rentmoney. The owners were disappointed that they didn't get to use weed killer because of the weather but I preferred to having them all lying neatly on the ground. It was more like a treasure hunt. 😁
Cuties , to nice to eat.
Yes. I know what you mean @manorvillemike. They do make nice decorations though. 😊
I had no idea there were so many types of pumpkins!
And that's still not all of them @keithboone! 😂
