Did you know that you can buy worms?

That's right, I bought these worms a couple of years back and have been worm farming ever since.

I made them a lovely home, from a truck bed tool box. We buried it half way into the ground, to to keep a cooler temperature. It's located beside my rabbit hutches. This makes for ease in cleaning under the rabbits, and feeding the worms.

Holes drilled into the sides for ventilation, are lined on the inside with screen.

This is what 2000 composting worms look like out of the bag. This practice is called Vermiculture. These are special composting worms, called red wigglers. They make the most beautiful, rich, black soil, it's truly black gold for your garden.

I have been practicing Permaculture for over ten years. I will do my best to post the progress of my food forest in the coming weeks and months.

If you would like further information on Vermiculture, or Permaculture, leave me a comment down below. Let's everyone change our own little patch of earth, and before you know it, we will have stitched together a paradise!
