The beaches of Laulasmaa

Lets pick up where we left off yesterday. We had been hiking in the forest, taking the scenic and longer route and enjoying nature.

Our forest hiker gang was reaching our destination as it could be seen between the trees eventually.

That's right, the sea of Lohusalu Bay. The beaches with clean sand, pines lining the coast, stretch for quite while, offering privacy and enough space for every party there is.

On a less windy day, one could chill right on the beach, but when it doesn't feel that warm yet, you could step a few meters back, behind a mound of sand, where kind of a moat runs and offer protection from wind. This is where we dropped our stuff.

I mentioned the singing sands of the beaches here yesterday. When you walk in a sliding motion, the sands make this cool sound "kiu-kiu-kiu", like shooting laser beams :)

Cue the mandatory toe and knee pic. It's my toes on the right. @raili says that i have weird toes, because of the big space between the largest toe and the next one, but i think i have awesome toes. While posing, i caught this cool cloud on the camera too, dissipating in the wind, so i'm going to post that too.

It's still a bit windy for us to set up our small grill, so we move a bit further towards the shade of the peninsula. We settle at sweet and calm place a but further, between some pines and near a beach volleyball court.

We also test the water, but it's barely 12-13 Celsius, i think (i'm not a human thermometer :) ), but give it a few more weeks and im gonna dip in.

So as water is out for today, we set up our grill just near a cool log that we can use as a bench to sit on. A few cold beers, some buddies and a nice view is all you need to enjoy this perfect day :)
