Resent Trip and Photos from Mabula Game Reserve
Accompanied by my wife Lynette we recently had the privilege to spend a weekend at Mabula game reserve.
Mabula is a 1200Ha pure African bush veld reserve in the Limpopo province of South Africa. Well known for its wildlife and sporting the big five from Africa.
On early morning and late afternoon game drives we were not left disappointed during the weekend.
Shooting with a Canon D30 and 300 zoom lens lots of opportunity presented itself but unfortunately only encountered Buffalo and Rhino.
A chance encounter on the Saturday night of our stay did put us close and personal with the resident bull elephant who started feeding and braking branches while having a good old scratch against the wall of our chalet.
This was a big elephant as his back almost touched the thatch overhang of the roof. Needless to say my wife immediately felt that she had to lock the door.
Would have loved a photo of him. – Her are some others from our game drives. Enjoy
