HOW TO SAVE A BUMBLEBEE'S LIFE

Have you ever found a seemingly lifeless bee, either bumble or honeybee, in your home and wished there was something you could do? Well, it may not be too late and the solution is surprisingly simple.
IS IT TOO LATE TO SAVE JERRY THE BUMBLEBEE?

I recently found a honeybee in my flat that seemed to be dead or 'mostly dead' for fans of The Princess Bride. I didn't have any honey on hand, but I did have some demerara cane sugar which I dissolved in some water. I carefully placed the little critter next to the tiny puddle of sugar water which I'd sprinkled on a table by an open window.

Then I waited, watched, and hoped.

I'd never prepared a meal for a bee before so I was pretty anxious about what he'd think of my culinary skills.

Sure enough though, he slowly reached out and began slurping it up. Just tiny slurps at first, then with gusto.

In a few minutes his 'motor' started----bzz, bzzz, bzzzzzzzz.

Shortly after that, much to my delight, he stretched his wings and off he flew

Great photos, poor little Jerry, good time to plant more flowers!

Yes! I do this! I always try to make them a syrup with honey and water or sugar and place it by them. They hang around drinking for a while and then fly off. Truly makes me so happy!🌹🐝

Thats cool. Worth a try and it worked.

That is so awesome! You are very brave! I once jumped out of a moving car because a bumblebee flew in. I later learned that it was just a dry leaf that was blown into the car by the wind...luckily, we were moving very slowly. lol

You're pictures are beautiful, and so is your heart.

Thank you! I'm so glad your guardian angels were there to 'bear you up on their hands' that day! What would we do without them? lol

Love this story, amazing photos 🐝 Let's Save the Bees xx
