Owl On The Fence

One morning, this Owl lands on a fence post and allowed me to take some great shots. This animal was so graceful and allowed me to change batteries and walk around getting all the angles I wanted. And then it flew to a grove of trees and ate a bluebird and stole its nest. One of the most surreal things I have ever seen.

I had to go home and google why an Owl would eat a bird and keep its nest. Apparently, this is common. Owls, it seems, might be a bit lazy when it comes to nest building and takes homes from other birds when they are ready to lay an egg.

Nature, what a thing of wonder...
