Great Blue Herons /Ardea herodias/ La Garza Azulada
The Great Blue Heron, Ardea herodias is the largest of Florida´s herons, It is a very common and permanent in the state.
La Garza azulada o garza gris Ardea herodias es una garza Americana muy común que se avista en el estado de Florida.
We observed this beautiful and large bird in the private garden of The Ringling Art Museum in Sarasota Florida, right on the edge of the lake, there accompanied by two Mallard Anas platyrhynchos, it was a nice surprise to find a bird of this size and beauty.
Nosotros observamos esta hermosa y grande ave en jardín privado del Museo de arte The Ringling en Sarasota Florida, justo al borde del lago, allí acompañado de dos Mallard “Anas platyrhynchos”, que linda sorpresa encontrar una ave de esta tamaño y belleza.

Según Bill Pranty. Field Guide to Birds of Florida, ésta especie se puede avistar en casi todas las áreas costeras y los humedales, también en pantanos y bosques de manglar.
We have the opportunity to visit this interesting museum and explore its gardens and find a new bird that adds to the list of observations on our trip in North America.
Nosotros contamos con la oportunidad de visitar aquel interesante museo y recorrer sus jardines y encontrar una nueva ave que suma a la lista de observaciones en nuestro viaje en América del Norte.
