Do you know which is the fastest animal in the ocean?
Hi Steemians! Did you know that shark mako is the fastest animal in the ocean?
Short-finned shark, also called mako shark, is the fastest animal in the ocean, capable of reaching speeds of over 124 km/h. They live in temperate waters with depths of up to 150 m, with greater concentration in the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans, in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.
It reaches that incredible speed thanks to its powerful muscular mass, its caudal fin shaped crescent and the fact of being homeotherm (maintains a constant temperature and very outside the environment in which it is). This perfect combination of strength and speed also allows them to jump very high out of the water, reaching 3 and 4 meters in height. It is a dangerous animal for humans because of the speed with which it can attack and its ability to jump into the fishing boats.
The shark belongs to the same family as the great white shark (Lamnidae) but is smaller in size, and unlike it, it is a shark associated with the depths, being strange in shallow waters and near the coast. Some sharks are usually between 3.5 and 4 meters in length, with weights up to 750 kg. The teeth are large and very sharp, even protrude when the shark closes the mouth.
This shark is a powerful and fast hunter of all kinds of prey; Their diet consists of fish of all sizes such as horse mackerel, sardine, bonito, listing, bluefin tuna, swordfish, billfish and sailfish. In addition, it feeds on squids, other sharks, sea turtles, porpoises, dolphins and even cases of small cetaceans have been attacked due to their large size and aggressiveness.

Wow awesome!. But according to what I understood and could observe, these scientists are studying movements in small periods of time, however do not refer to them as the fastest with respect to running, swimming or flying.
I really loved this video, thank you very much, my friend.
Don't worry, I understood, the gist of your post. I just happen to know about the shrimp from watching too much QI, the quiz programme. I am glad you enjoyed the video.I upped your post and am following you. Come and join our Facebook Group, Aspiring Steemit Whales and Dolphins if you would like a bit of support on your steemit journey.
Ohh thank you very much, I'll join the group myself.
