El Nido Palawan Philippines - a paradise in the far east
It was a great opportunity on my part that my friends were inviting me to visit and had three days vacation in El Nido, Palawan. I was assigned then in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. I had been in different places there like Crocodile Farm and Iwahig Penal Conoly. That was year 1997. Back then there was no high tech cellphone. I remembered the first cellphone that had been introduced there was Nokia 3310. I mentioned this because there were a lot beautiful sceneries there that if I could only took shoots then I have a lot of memories now.
From Puerto Pricesa we drove 238 kilometers to reach that wonderful place. We stopped- over to a house in Bebeladan, El Nido. It was already afternoon then. The owner of the house named Aling Sita, served us a nido-soup that according to them that was very expensive, it is the nest of the bird called Balisasayaw. This nest was made of bird's saliva.
Early in the morning, after breakfast we rented a boat with an engine and begun our island hoping. I was bewildred by the magnificient beauty of nature.
In the next morning, we visited again another place they called it lagoon. We had swimming there and ate some fresh fish and squids.
According to the boatman named Baste - one week was not enough to see all places in El Nido, Palawan
I want to go back there but this time, I will bring my family and powerful camera and cellphone.
