Discovering the Dutch dunes

So earlier I wrote about how I wanted to experience the beauty of the country I'm living (the Netherlands). One of the greatest pieces of nature over here, are the dunes which separate us from the unforbidding sea. They truly are a wonder of nature, and I would like to share some pictures with you. Be sure to follow me on my journey to decluttering my life, and finding more space in mind and life!

It was such a beautiful day for a bikeride. This is near the city of "Bloemendaal", in an area called "Kennemerduinen" (Kennemer dunes). This is a piece of nature that has kept the Netherlands dry for so many years. Nature allways has our back. Let's repay it by preserving it for our future.

And you can't say nature without saying animals, right? These beautiful creatures are living a carefree life there, unthreatened and free to eat all the grass they want...

...or have a nice drink.

To quote a great novelist (J.R.R. Tolkien): "The road goes ever on". Let's hope it is the same for this wonderful peace of nature.

I hope to discover more of these wonderful places on the journey that lays ahead. All I know is that everytime I encounter beautiful peaces of nature like this, I feel connected to the Earth and the wonders it holds. More so then stuff, or urban areas can ever achieve. I'm convinced that people need places like these to unwind, and to free their minds for the hectic everyday life.
