RE: Natural Treasures: Big Bend National Park
Yo @somebuttstuff! The park allows visitors 5 gallons of water per person per day.
This time at Big Bend we did primitive camping, but we had our car with us. We packed with us some big water containers that we filled up every other day.
Backpacking is a bit more difficult in the area, especially in the summer months. I am hoping to go back to this spring to do some short stints. I imagine two days of hiking would require almost 10 liters of water per person :O not sure how that works. I will let you know what I find out!
Hey thanks! I'm curious about backpacking in different environments, but I have no idea how to deal with not having natural sources along the way. Do let me know what you figure out!
