Mocănița The Steam Train is a very popular attraction in Romania. Mocanița it's a narrow railway train, that is powerd up by steam.
You will meet this beautiful train in Romania, only in the mountains.
Mocănița from Vișeul de Sus is the last forest railway that is still in use in the world.
The works for the railway have begun in 1932 and ended that same year, Mocănița works non stop since then.
It was created beacause of the need for a less expensive way to transport wooden material.
