It all starts from a sprout
Five years or more after this coffee plant is placed in the ground, it will begin producing significant amounts of coffee. That coffee gets processed by experts at origin, shipped across the world by logistics wizards, finds our warehouse, and eventually gets noticed by you, our faithful customer.
Excellent Ugandan coffees are coming in this season, and they're available in bags and in 22lb boxes, shipped around the world. Some of this coffee comes to us by way of smallhonder producers growing coffee on the northern slopes of Mount Elgon, a massive peak split nearly in two by the border of Uganda and Kenya. The microregion is rife with coffee and is well-served by the Sipi Falls mill, a centralized washing station with the capacity for processing cherry and drying coffee to improve the value to local farmers.
